A youth player at Leeds John (Jack) moved to Brentford shortly after turning pro. A spell at Sheffield Wednesday followed before he finally fulfilled his dream of playing for his home club Newcastle United. Jack won the FA Cup with the Magpies in the 31/32 season during his three year spell. He later played for Bristol Rovers and Gateshead.
